Pliant Technologies Announces CrewCom v1.10 Firmware and Software Update – rAVe [PUBS]

Foldable Technologies announced the CrewCom v1.10 Update. Version 1.10 is the latest firmware and software update and adds two major new features and several improvements. The new upgrade is free and can now be downloaded directly from the company’s website.

The update includes the new High Density Mode, a selectable mode of operation that allows user densities to more than quintuple. This new software-selectable mode supports up to 32 radio packs (RPs) on a single radio transceiver (RT) while allowing any of the RPs to communicate using four available full-duplex communication paths . Users will also have the ability to simultaneously deploy RPs and RTs enabled in “Normal” mode with hardware enabled in High Density mode, providing adaptability for application-specific configurations.

The update also includes a new auto-configuration feature. This provides a series of menus that guide users through the setup process by plugging in the necessary hardware using Cat-5e/6 or standard fiber connections, turning on the Control Unit (CU), and selecting Auto Setup menu option. If additional customization is required or if a larger system with more than three RTs needs to be deployed, the CrewWare application can be used to create an application-specific custom system configuration.

Other improvements provided by v1.10 include external synchronization indication on the CU and in CrewWare, automatic system restart when changing applicable system configuration settings, remote microphone suppression per conference, and a new RP Summary menu added to CU.
