OnePlus releases new OxygenOS update for Nord smartphone in India

OnePlus has started releasing its OxygenOS update for the original Nord smartphone in India, Europe, and North America.

According to the changelog, the firmware fixes the low probability call forwarding failure issue, improves system stability, and fixes some general bugs.

It also increases the Android security patch level to November 2021.

All about the update

The latest OxygenOS update for the Nord smartphone in India has the version number and weighs 376 MB. The OTA rollout is gradual, i.e. only a small percentage of users will receive it first, followed by a larger version.

  • OnePlus Nord’s latest update is based on the Android 11 operating system, while the company has now started testing and releasing Android 12 for its devices.
  • Before downloading the update, OnePlus advised Nord users to keep at least 3GB of free storage and 30% battery.
  • To check manually, you can go to Settings > About device > System update.

The phone has a 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display

When it comes to its specs, the OnePlus Nord features a capsule-shaped cutout, slim bezels, and an in-display fingerprint reader. On the back, it has a quad camera unit.

The handset features a 6.44-inch Full HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and HDR10+ support.

It is offered in three color options.

It sports a dual 32MP selfie camera

The OnePlus Nord has four rear cameras, including a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide (f/2.3) snapper, 5MP (f/2.4) depth lens and 2MP macro (f/2.4) sensor. On the front, it has a 32 MP (f/2.5) main sensor and an 8 MP (f/2.5) ultra-wide lens.

It is backed by a Snapdragon 765G processor

The OnePlus Nord is powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

Under the hood, it runs on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 and houses a 4,115mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

In terms of connectivity, the device supports dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC and a Type-C port.
