Latest Nintendo Switch software update adds custom groups

Nintendo Switch gamers can now organize their software into custom groups, thanks to the handheld’s latest update.

It looks like Nintendo is continuing to release new features for the Nintendo Switch. Previously, the system saw the addition of themed icons that could be customized and added to a player’s profile. Now it looks like Nintendo has added a new way to organize your game collection.

In order to take advantage of this new feature, players will need to have downloaded the system update version 14.0.0. or later. Players will need to have at least 12 software titles downloaded to their console in order to get the ability to bundle them.

Up to 100 groups can be created, each containing a maximum of 200 titles. That’s a lot of Switch games! Moreover, the same software can be added to several groups.

So how can players start creating their own custom software bundles?

To create groups, players will need to follow these steps:

  1. From the HOME menu, scroll all the way to the right and select All software.
  2. press the L button to view your software by group.
  3. The first time you create a group, a window appears prompting you to Create a group. Once the first group has been created, players can press the button + button to create a new group.
  4. Check all the software titles you want to add to the group, then select Following.
  5. Arrange the software the way you want, then click Following.
  6. Enter a name for the group, then select OKAY

And that’s all there is to it. Your new group will now be visible in your group list. Be sure to update your Switch console and give it a try.
