Michael is an award-winning actor and musician, an all-media lover and creator, a recovery programmer and instructional systems design specialist, and the creator of Make Every Media, LLC, a versatile production house with a passion for preservation and proliferation. unique arts, creative spaces and voices through podcasts, films, broadcast and interactivity, including virtual lectures, live streams, variety shows, apps, games and experiences virtual/augmented reality.
“How to Make Every Media With Free & Open-Source Software” is an ever-evolving reference guide to creating in any digital medium with free and open-source tools. We’ll start with development and podcasting and progress to creating movies, games, and VR experiences, briefly covering each medium, then zooming in to where audiences are most interested. We’ll then open up to crowd-sourcing more open-source tools (because we’ve surely missed some) and asking questions from the public about how they can get started, move, or publish in their current media. Of course, not everything can be done with free and open-source software, but there’s certainly enough out there these days to get you started on the path to creating in whatever medium you choose!
