It looks like the Galaxy S22 series is getting its first software update. Samsung launched the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra earlier this month, and pre-orders have started reaching select customers in a few countries. It is possible that most people find their brand new device displaying an update notification once they start it for the first time.
Latest software update for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra series comes with firmware version S90xEXXU1AVB3, and is currently deployed in Afghanistan and Egypt. More countries will likely receive the over the next few days. In some countries, smartphones may come with the February 2022 security update preinstalled.
Samsung had mentioned on its software documentation that the February 2022 security patch fixes over 60 privacy and security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy smartphones.
If you are a Galaxy S22 series smartphone user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can now check for the latest software update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file for your smartphone from our database and flash it manually.
